Step 2. Locate the path "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User" Shell Folders with the directory in the pop-up window.

Step 3. The right name and data for My Documents folder are Personal, %USERPROFILE%\Documents respectively. If not, please right-click the folder name and rename it as Personal, double-click the data and rename it as %USERPROFILE%\Documents and click OK.

Step 4. Click Start, type cmd and type Enter.

Step 5. Type in the command attrib +r -s -h %USERPROFILE%\Documents /S /D.

Step 6. Restart your computer. You can see My Documents folder is back.
